The Cullman Strawberry Festival gets sweeter each year. The festival has grown to attract 24,000 people from across North Alabama looking to experience a fun-filled day of entertainment, shopping and delicious, locally-grown strawberries.

Strawberry Festival is for the whole family! And our kids' area delivers hours of fun With HUGE inflatables, small amusement rides & train, photos with Mr. and Mrs. Berry, and even vendors selling kid-friendly products!

Artisan & Craft Vendors
Talent abounds at the festival in many forms but we would be remiss if we didn’t direct you to our artisans who will be selling handcrafted collectibles and locally-sourced products. Dozens of artisan vendors will have tents at the festival that you can browse and shop. You’ll find that our artisans are friendly, approachable, and love sharing about their products!
Berries and Refreshments
With the festival being dedicated to celebrating Cullman strawberries, we encourage you to select your pick of the patch at the Festhalle Marketplatz. However, you’ll also find an assortment of snacks and refreshments including pretzels, fresh lemonade, funnel cakes, and other delicious foods. We’ll have signage directing you throughout the event area, but if all else fails, follow your nose to the foods you’re craving most!
Miss Strawberry Festival Pageant
Who will be crowned the next Miss Strawberry Queen? Registration will soon open for the Miss Strawberry Festival Pageant. the 2023 pageant date is being finalized. However, contestants ages 0 months - kindergarten will compete starting at 10:00 am while 1st through 12th grade contestants compete starting at 2:00 pm. Doggy "Paw"geant & After Party
who says pageants are only for humans? See dozens of pooches strut their stuff, or better yet, get your own furry friends primped and pampered for this year's doggy "paw"geant. we can't wait to see those pretty paws work the stage! Registration is full. See ya next year!

A Festival Rich in History
Strawberries were first produced in Cullman in 1898 and later prompted the community to host its first Strawberry Festival in 1939. The festival featured thousands of people enjoying live music, strawberry-themed exhibits, and even a grand ball. Within a few years, the event was one of the premier agricultural festivals in the region, drawing attendees from across the country. Local officials even converted the city’s 150-foot water tower into a gigantic, illuminated strawberry making for one of the most impressive spectacles of the era.
